Our Story

How it all started...

In the early 2000's, Pastor Frankie Myers, with his wife Leshia, felt the call of God to come to their hometown and start a church.  They launched Miracle Place Church of Acadiana.  With great family & community support, the church and its members grew.  In 2011, the Meyers felt the call to return to Baton Rouge, LA, and thus were seeking to find a suitable person to carry the torch.  By natural coincidence but simultaneously divine orchestration, Pastor Frankie ran into Pastor Floyd Prescott III, who had just returned from Baton Rouge himself to launch a ministry.

After some time of talking, the idea of the passing the ministry came up in conversation.  After a time of prayer, agreement was felt and things were put in motion.  Pastor Floyd assumed leadership officially Jan. 1, 2012.

carrying the torch....continuing the journey

In January, 2012, Pastor Floyd began the journey of putting the things in place that God had put in his heart, even from before the time of assuming leadership of the church.  And that journey - the journey of winning souls, making disciples, changing lives - it still continues to this day.  From nursing homes to schools to neighborhood parks, as well as in the church, the mission of our church fellowship has never and will never change - advance the Kingdom at any cost!!!

growing, standing, advancing

In 2019, we officially changed the name of the church to Miracles & Harvest International.  What brought about the change was in 2018, the Lord began to deal with Pastor Floyd about changing the name -- signaling a fresh start and a new season.  The prompting was to make the name change official at the start of the year and advance from there.   The transition of names even has a meaning & purpose (which will be shared later)

Although the name has changed, the overall mission has not - it has actually accelerated.  We believe that this is only the beginning of bigger and better things, not just for our church but also for our region as a whole.  We believe firmly that God has called us to impact not just our city, but the nations of the world and many points in between in the next 5+ years.

In that time, we intend to plant church in other cities, continue to contribute to missions worldwide, reach the homeless and impoverished and even build community outreach initiatives that will bless each area both spiritually and naturally.
